ARE THE ULTRAREACH POLES SAFE FOR ELECTRICAL WORKING?
The UltraReach Poles are tested using Withstanding Voltage Tester KIKUSUI Se.  10 kVa AC for 1 min.
This is the same test as used in BS8020:2011 which would certify the product 1000v safe based on the 10:1 ratio.
IMPORTANT NOTES:
Only the base section is insulated, all poles carrying the 'R' mark, blue bottom section or with a yellow band around the base section are insulated bottom sections.  Pre-Sep 2024 we had the option of pure Carbon Fibre poles also and these pure Carbon bases are not insulated or safe for electrical working.
All of our extensions such as the X5, X6 & X7 are fully insulated.

WILL YOU PRODUCE A POLE THAT IS FULLY INSULATED?

Yes, a new range will be added in 2025 once UK safety testing has been completed.  This will be tested to 40,000 volts (40KVA) and all pole sections will be insulated and produced in the industry standard yellow/orange safety colour to easily identify the pole in the back of your vehicle.

IS THERE ANYTHING ELSE THAT YOU RECOMMEND FOR SAFE ELECTRICAL WORKING?

• Electrically safe gloves

• Electrically safe boots.

• Due diligence; always check your surroundings, especially what is overhead and also what is on the ground, for example; standing in a puddle of water without any safety gloves or boots whilst using even the 40KV fully insulated pole with overhead power lines would not be considered safe working!

• Upgrading to the 40KV fully insulated pole where each and every section is tested safe with 40,000 volts would offer the ultimate level of pole safety.

DO GARDNER BRUSHES FIT YOUR POLES?
Yes, if you transfer over your existing Gardner gooseneck then you can still use your Gardner brushes.

CAN YOU FIT A UNIVALVE INSIDE THE POLE?

Yes, we also supply the univalve in our online store

HOW RIGID ARE YOUR POLES?

ARE YOUR POLES A CIRCULAR TUBE (ROUND) OR AN ODD SHAPE?
Our poles are completely circular because this is the strongest shape.  as soon as the circal is distorted into an oval, hex or other form its rigidity is comprimised.

WHAT MAKES YOUR POLE ANTI-SPIN?

Our poles feature a hidden internal rail track system which prevents spinning even with the clamps fully open.
Unlike others our anti-spin is not simply based upon the clamp.
